Chicken & Meat Kerutuk Powder Recipe:
Ingredients
28gm Adabi Kerutuk Powder
15-30pcs or 500gm Chicken or beef or mutton
200ml or 1 cup Cooking oil
50gm or 2 tablespoons 'Kerisik' (Dessicated coconut paste)
300ml or 1 1/4 cups Coconut milk (1 nos)
10-15 inches Shallot
5 Cloves Garlic
1/2 inch Ginger
5 Cloves Garlic
1/2 inch Galangal
2 sticks Lemongrass (pounded)
80gm Brown sugar or sugar (suit to taste)
5gm or 1 teaspoon ASAM JAWA X-tra Adabi Paste
15gm or 1 tablespoon Or seeded tamarind paste (suit to taste)
500ml or 2 1/2 cups Water
Salt to taste


Cooking Instructions:

  1. Mix Adabi Kerutuk Powder and Ingredient A with water to become paste.
  2. Heat the oil in cooking pot.
  3. Saute Ingredient B and pounded lemongrass until fragrant and slightly yellowish colour.
  4. Add in kerutuk paste and saute until fragrant and slightly brown colour gently approximately 10 to 15 minutes.
  5. Pour in chicken or meat, desiccated coconut paste, coconut milk, tamarind paste, water, brown sugar and salt to taste.
  6. Cook until thick.
  7. Ready to serve.
